Enter the Inaugural NZDRS Oboe and Bassoon Performance Competition

The NZDRS is excited to announce the inaugur al Oboe and Bassoon Competition.  There are three categories; Junior, Intermediate, and Open.  Performers are to send in video recordings of their performance, which will be judged by oboist Martin Lee and bassoonist Gordon Skinner. Entries are currently open, and will close on the 7th of November 2019 at 11.59pm. Read the guidelines here . Submit your entry here . Social evening invitation: Farewelling Noah Rudd

The NZ Double Reed Society would like to invite you all to an informal social evening to farewell Noah Rudd (oboe), eat yummy desserts and have fun! Dessert , wine and soft drinks provided  Farewell Noah Rudd  (oboe) who is about to leave for further study in Australia. He has made a huge contribution to NZDRS over the past four years Try your luck with  a fun quiz  about Noah and  win  two tickets to Bach's B minor Mass in April ( I have had these donated by someone who can't use them) Meet  other double reed players of all ages and levels Share  your thoughts  on what you would like from NZDRS this year and whether you have skills or time to help us continue doing fabulous things Grab some  free oboe music  that Alison is getting rid of!
