Saturday 18 October Time : 2- 4.30pm Venue : TBC depending on numbers (AUCKLAND) Anyone can come along to our club. Simply sign up and you will be put in a group and sent some music to prepare. At the club, you will work on the music together and receive help from a professional tutor. Lots of fun! No performance involved. If you would like to bring your own group including non double reed players, you are most welcome. Just bring your own music to work on. Bassoon for sale

For Sale: Moosmann Model 100. It has been well looked after, and John Robinson recently did a couple of little repairs that it needed. $7000 was paid for the instrument and would like to sell it for much that price.  It also comes with a lighter travelling case that was $200.  Please contact Robert Skinner at skinners65@paradise.net.nz if interested.

Music Department, Epsom Girls Grammar School, Silver Road, Epsom   This month we will be having afternoon tea at the end of the session and will be joined by  Peter Dykes  (Associate Principal Oboe, NZSO) who will talk about his journey as an oboist. Monday, 19 May   7:30pm   Philharmonia Hall, 427 Dominion Rd Auckland This  is an informal, friendly, fun opportunity to practise performing!  Bring along a piece you are preparing for exams or chamber music competitions, or just something you are working on in your lessons.  Feel free to bring your own pianist or chamber group members.   Entry for members is FREE, non-members $10. Double Reed Weekend

We have our own space, not in amongst everyone else! On arrival at Carmel College, you will receive a welcome pack which includes a booklet with all the information you will need. Oboe d'Amore Oboe 3 Oboe 2 Oboe 1 Cor Anglais Contra Bassoon Bassoon 3 Bassoon 2 Bassoon 1 Suite for Double Reed Band by Anthony Young Performance notes for First Draft (13/2/14) Please be aware that there maybe a few alterations and changes on the 1st March in rehearsals. This has been a challenging ensemble to write for, and I cannot be sure of being certain of every detail of the mechanics of double reed instruments.  If something seems too difficult or unidiomatic, please don’t fret: it may very well be changed during the rehearsal.  2ND MOVEMENT   There is a solo for oboe d’amore at the start.
